My husband Brad and I found our dream home, built in 1937, in our dream neighborhood, Delaney Park, in downtown Orlando, except not much about the home was dreamy! Good bones and a great lot made it very appealing. We had a vision of what it could be as a home we could raise our family in and a beautiful backyard for our kids and dogs to run around in, but we needed help to make it come to fruition! Under the gun to close and make sure we could do what we needed WITHIN OUR BUDGET, we interviewed several builders, but only one builder knew what he was doing and helped us take control of the project.
Jerry quickly got his architect into the house with us and helped us bring our vision to life! He also was very honest with us that this is NO SMALL PROJECT, but his excitement to pull it all together made us very comfortable moving forward. They told us 5 months and we were in a few days before our 5 month mark! We had a budget in mind; they told us the truth and they were within a couple thousand dollars of what they quoted!
WE worked like partners along the way to mitigate and manage the unforeseen hiccups that a major renovation of this scope will inevitably encounter. Our home turned out to be more than we had ever imagined and along they way they helped us make sure we stayed on track with our goals of keeping the old looking new and tying it all together. They really held our hands and were on the job every day walking us through the project; really made us a real part of the process!
All we ever heard when we took on this project was that remodeling is a nightmare, but for us it was the best move we ever made! We were able “break” into a neighborhood that we didn’t think we could afford and have our dream home!
